An ICC Elite Installer successfully completed a new network cabling installation for an outpatient surgical center in Troy, Michigan. Using ICC’s Category 6 (CAT6) cabling, the project aimed to establish a reliable and scalable infrastructure to support the center’s communication needs.

- CAT 6 Keystone Jacks: 1,125 jacks in various colors (blue, gray, green, yellow, and black)
- CAT 6 Feed-Through Patch Panels: 30 units
- CAT 6 Slim Patch Cords: 1,110 cords in various lengths and colors (blue, gray, green, yellow, and black)
- Surface Mount Boxes: 100 units
- Open Frame Distribution Racks: 4 units
- Vertical Finger Duct: 8 units
- Cable Ladder Rack: 60 feet
- Station ID Faceplates: Approximately 220 units in various styles, including single-gang, 1-port, 2-port, and 4-port
The installation covered various work areas, including:
- 39 Offices
- 7 Meeting Rooms
- 2 Co-working Spaces
- Reception Area
- 4 Conference Rooms
- 2 Small Meeting Rooms
The total finished area of the floor is 12,679 square feet.
Execution
The ICC Elite Installer executed the project with precision and efficiency, ensuring minimal disruption to the surgical center’s operations. The process included:
- Assessment and Planning: Evaluating the needs for the new network and planning the cabling layout.
- Installation: Running Category 6 cables through designated pathways, installing patch panels, surface mount boxes, distribution racks, double-sided vertical finger ducts, and ladder racks.
