A Manufacturer Awards a Cabling Contract to an ICC Certified Elite Installer

VA – An ICC Certified Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract from an outdoor decking manufacturer in Virginia. The installer built the communications network using an ICC structured cabling system. A total of 520 data drops were installed.

The installer designed two systems; Category 6A (CAT 6A) and Category 6 (CAT 6). They pulled 200,000 feet of plenum cable, terminated over 1000 keystone connectors, and wall-mounted over 1200 J-Hooks.

The installer used 48-Port modular blank patch panels at the main cross-connect and various styles of outlets in the work areas. The outlets included modular furniture, stainless steel, surface mount, telephone wall plates, and others.

After the installation, the installer tested and passed the system’s permanent link to TIA® spec and registered the system with ICC’s Lifetime Performance Warranty.

High School Data Cabling Project

A High School Awards a Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

MI – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract from a high school in Michigan. The installer used an ICC Category 6 (CAT 6) structured cabling system to replace CAT 5 and CAT 5e cabling throughout the campus. The project included the main building along with two other buildings. A total of 572 data drops were installed.

The system extended from the main cross-connect in the telecommunications room to the outlets in the classrooms and administrative offices. The connectivity consisted of 160,000 feet of CAT 6 riser cable in white and 1,300 CAT 6 keystone jacks in white, green, and orange. The jacks were terminated and installed into 24 and 48-Port modular patch panels, station ID faceplates, and 1-Port surface mount boxes. The installer used modular blank inserts in black to cover unused patch panel ports.

CA – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract from a school for a new TK-3 campus in California. The installer used ICC products as the project required a Category 6 (CAT 6) structured cabling system to connect and distribute data services.

The system extended from the main cross-connect in the telecommunications room to the outlets in the classrooms. The connectivity consisted of 23,000 feet of CAT 6e plenum cable, 23,000 feet of CAT 6e riser cable, and 360 CAT 6 keystone jacks in blue. The installer used wall mount J-Hooks to run the cable between locations. The jacks were terminated and installed into 24-Port modular patch panels, single-gang faceplates, and surface mount boxes.

A Homebuilder and Developer Awards a Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

NJ – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract from a homebuilder and developer. The contract was for a new apartment complex in New Jersey and required a cabling system to connect and distribute data, voice and video services. The installer used ICC.

The installer ran cabling from the telecommunications room to the apartments and amenities. The main cross-connect in the telecom room consisted of modular blank patch panels with Category 6 (CAT 6) keystone connectors. Approximately 1500 outlets were installed between the apartments and amenities. The installer configured them with single-gang 2-Port faceplates and CAT 6 keystone and F-type connectors in white.

ID – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract for apartments in Idaho. The project required installing one-hundred wiring enclosures to connect and distribute incoming voice, data and video services. The installer used ICC.

ICC’s 14-inch residential wiring enclosure is designed with many features. It’s made of industrial-strength ABS plastic, making it durable and Wi-Fi-friendly. Restautant Chain Data Cabling Project

A Restaurant Chain Awards a Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

GA – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract from one of Georgia’s largest quick-service restaurant chains. The project required the data and voice communication network to be upgraded for multiple locations.

The installer ran two cabling systems at each location; Category 5e (CAT 5e) for data and 66-wiring for voice. The connectivity consisted of CAT 5e cableCAT 5e patch panels in 24 and 48 ports, CAT 5e keystone connectorsVoice keystone connectors, and 66-wiring blocks. Existing infrastructure and racks supported the additional cabling and equipment. Finger duct panels and a five-foot ladder rack runway were added to the main distribution frame to run cable vertically and overhead to the wall. 2-inch J-Hooks were used to run cable along walls from the telecom closet to the work areas. Approximately 3200+ keystone jacks were terminated and configured into stainless steel faceplates and surface mount boxes at the work area outlets.

Senior Living Center Data Cabling Project

A Homebuilder Awards a Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

WY – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract for a senior living center in Wyoming. The installer used ICC’s structured cabling systems to build the communications network for data, voice, and video services.

The installer pulled 20,000 feet of Category 6 (CAT 6) plenum cable in blue and white. The cabling ran from the telecommunications room to sixty-two apartments. A 7-foot cable management rack and swing frame rack in the telecom room supported the main cross-connects on the floor and wall, respectively. The connectivity consisted of CAT 6 24-Port patch panels and 110-Type patch panels

A 28-inch residential wiring enclosure was installed into each apartment. The enclosure is made of ABS plastic to be durable and Wi-Fi friendly. It included a CAT 6 Data Module for broadband internet access to eight computers or Ethernet devices, a Voice Module for distributing four phone lines to eight locations, and a Video Module for splitting cable TV, HDTV, satellite, or antenna signals to six locations. CAT 6 jacks, Voice jacks, and F-Type connectors were terminated, configured into single-gang faceplates, and installed at the outlets in the living areas.

High School Data Cabling Project

A High School Awards a Data Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

NJ – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a 300+ data drop contract for a high school in New Jersey. The installer used ICC’s CAT 6A and CAT 6 structured cabling systems to upgrade the communications network on campus.

Both systems ran from the main distribution frame room to the outlets in the classrooms. The CAT 6A connectivity consisted of 54,000 feet of plenum-rated cable, sixteen 24-Port patch panels and 250 HD keystone jacks. The CAT 6 connectivity included 18,000 feet of plenum-rated cable, twelve 24-Port patch panels and 100 EZ keystone jacks. The installer ran cable along the walls to the work areas using J-Hooks and installed the jacks into 1-Port surface mount boxes at the outlets. Existing infrastructure supported the additional cabling and equipment.

Bank Data Cabling Project

A Bank Awards a Data Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

NE – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a 160 data drop contract for a bank branch in Nebraska. The installer used ICC’s Category 6 (CAT 6) structured cabling system to build the communications network.

The system extended from the Telecommunications Room (TR) to the Work Area Outlets (WO). A 7-foot cable management rack supported the Main Cross-connect (MC). The connectivity consisted of 15,000 feet of CAT 6e plenum-rated cable and 325 CAT 6 keystone jacks in blue. The cable was routed using ICC’s ladder rack runway system, which included ladder rack in 5 feet sections, cable radius drops, ceiling rods, 90-degree flat turns, wall support brackets and other fittings. The installer also ran the cable in the ceiling and along the walls to the work areas using J-Hooks. The jacks were installed into 48-Port modular patch panels and 2-port faceplates, establishing the connection between the MC and WO.

County Courthouse Data Cabling Project

A Courthouse Awards a Data Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

OH – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a data cabling contract for a county courthouse in Ohio. The installer expanded the backbone cabling using ICC’s Category 6 (CAT 6) system.

The CAT 6 system consisted of 90,000 feet of CAT 6 riser-rated cable in blue and approximately 500 CAT 6 keystone jacks in black. The installer terminated the jacks into 24-Port modular blank patch panels delivering more connectivity for communications between the entrance facility, equipment room, and telecommunications rooms.

CA – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a data cabling contract for a K-12 public school in California. The installer upgraded the Local Area Network using ICC’s Category 6A (CAT 6A) category-rated system.

The CAT 6A system consisted of 50,000 feet of CAT 6A cable and approximately 600 CAT 6A keystone jacks. The jacks were installed into 24-Port and 48-Port modular patch panels at the main and horizontal cross-connects. Single-gang faceplates and surface mount boxes with CAT 6A jacks were installed at the outlets. The installer mounted 2-Inch and 4-Inch J-Hooks on walls to route and manage cables.

A Hotel Awards a Data Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

TX – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a data cabling contract for a new fourteen-floor, high-rise hotel in Texas. The installer built the Local Area Network using ICC’s Category 6 (CAT 6) copper-rated and 10G fiber optic systems.

The CAT 6 system consisted of 20,000 feet of CAT 6e cable and approximately 1800 CAT 6 keystone jacks. The jacks were installed into modular patch panels in the equipment room and single-gang faceplates at the outlets. The fiber optic connectivity consisted of 240 fibers, including six rack mount fiber optic enclosures equipped with 24-Fiber LC adapter panels. The infrastructure to support both systems included: 2-post and 4-post distribution racks7-foot ladder racks with fittings, vertical and horizontal finger duct panels, 3-inch D-rings, and rack shelves.

They pulled 33,000 feet of CAT 6 cable in CMP and CMR and used VELCRO® Brand Qwik® Tie Cable Tie Tape for bundling. They set up the telecom room with three 48-Port CAT 6 patch panels and interconnected the panels to network equipment using CAT 6 clear boot patch cords. They also terminated approximately 200 CAT 6 EZ® keystone connectors and installed them into 2-Port single-gang faceplates at the work area outlets.

NC – An ICC Certified Elite Installer was awarded a data cabling contract for an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) building in North Carolina. The installer designed and built the network using an ICC Category 6A (CAT 6A) structured cabling system. They terminated approximately 1800 CAT 6A keystone connectors in blue and black, equipped the distribution racks in the equipment room with 48-Port modular blank patch panels, and installed 340 work area outlets consisting of high-density décor style inserts in 4-Port and 6-Port and 2-Port surface mount boxes. They mounted 850 J-Hooks along the walls to route and manage cables.

In addition, the installer used LC fiber optic couplers and F-Type modular jacks to support the system with 10G data and 3 GHz video connectivity, respectively.

The installer set up six seven-foot distribution racks in the equipment room, mounted wall mount hinged brackets in the telecom closets, and installed 48-Port CAT 6 patch panels onto them. They used one thousand single-gang faceplates with station IDs for the work area outlets and 500 J-Hooks in 2-inch and 4-inch to route and manage cables along the walls.

Each enclosure came equipped with VDV modules to network up to eight telephones, eight computers or Ethernet devices, and six televisions. The outlets in the living areas consisted of single-gang faceplates configured with CAT 6 keystone connectors and 2 GHz F-Type video jacks.

UT – An ICC Elite Installer in Utah was awarded a voice, data, and video (VDV) cabling contract for seventy-one new multi-family homes.

The installer installed ICC’s 14-inch Plastic Wiring Enclosure into each home to act as the main distribution point for cabling services. Each enclosure came equipped with VDV modules to support locations for eight telephones, eight computers or Ethernet devices, and six televisions. The installer added a CAT 6 data module with a universal mounting base into each home to provide an extra eight Ethernet locations. The module’s base comes with self-adhesive hook and loop strips to be mounted on any flat surface. Around 250 outlets configured with CAT 6 keystone connectors and 3 GHz F-Type video jacks were installed throughout the living areas.

J-Hooks were used to route cable along walls and above ceilings.

MT – An ICC Certified Elite Installer was awarded a data cabling contract for a gas station with a convenience store in Montana. The installer designed and built the network using ICC’s Category 5e (CAT 5e) structured cabling system. They installed approximately 1000 data drops, pulled 30,000 feet of 350MHz CAT 5e plenum cable and terminated 900 CAT 5e keystone connectors. They installed 12-Port and 48-Port CAT 5e patch panels on the walls in the telecom closets and on the racks in the equipment room, respectively. The installer used CAT 5e patch cords with clear boots to connect network equipment. They also installed 170 outlets using single-gang mounting boxes in white.
